The Train to Gain service is a business service offering free training and NVQ qualifications designed to help your business stay competitive and to succeed.
It aims to do this through the training and development of your workforce, helping to ensure that your employees have the right skills and knowledge to do the best job.
In today’s fast paced and competitive business environment, a well-trained workforce will help your business move forward.
Entry Requirements:
The employee:
- Must be aged 19 years or over
- Must not already hold any sort of level 2 qualification (5 GCSEs Grade A – C or equivalent)
This is a fantastic opportunity for employees to achieve their full potential and gain job-related skills for life, and for your business to gain long-term investment through the development of a skilled workforce at NO extra cost
Contribution to Wage Costs
Under the Train to Gain service, Employers with fewer than 50 full time or equivalent employees may be eligible for a contribution towards the wage costs of employees taking part in training. Please ask for further details.

Reading, writing and being confident with numbers are essential skills for working life and contribute to success in vocational qualifications. As part of Train to Gain, we will ensure that your employees improve their skills to gain nationally recognised qualification in literacy and numeracy at levels 1 and 2.
