Skills for Life
Skills for Life involves the literacy (everyday
basic English) and numeracy (everyday basic
maths) skills needed to function confidently
and effectively in both personal and
professional life. Stockton Riverside College
provides employers with bespoke
programmes to ensure maximum benefits to
both employees and the organisation.
We can deliver the following, FREE of
charge:
- Awareness raising sessions for managers and employers
- Skills Assessment sessions to allow employees to find out about their current skills and opportunities available to them
- Short courses to enable employees to refresh and update their skills
- Longer courses to allow employees to build up and gain new skills
- Courses to support other qualifications employees may be working towards
- Up to date, nationally recognised qualifications (up to Level 2 – GCSE grade A- C/NVQ 2 equivalent
- Flexible hours to fit with work and home commitments
- Home study packs and email support to allow employees to practise at home All courses are tailored to meet the needs of
the organisation and individuals, using materials that are related directly to the workplace.
