Stockton Riverside College is a core partner in a collaborative Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Adult Social Care in partnership with Bishop Auckland College and Middlesbrough College.
Funding
There is a wide range of funding available for students and employers to access for Health and Social Care courses.
NVQ2 Train to Gain
To qualify for funding students must be over 19 years of age and not hold a level 2 qualification in any subject area. (5 GCSEs grade A-C would also be counted as a level 2 qualification)
Students who qualify would be entitled to free training.
If the Company employs less than 50 people then they may also be eligible to receive wage compensation.

NVQ 3 Train to Gain
If you are working at a Level 3 standard and do not have any previous level 2 qualifications, are over 19 years of age and employed, you may be entitled to free training.
Level 3 Entitlement
