NVQ 2 Hairdressing
NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing offers a foundation in hairdressing skills for the potential hairdressing professional and is a 9 unit award.
- Advise and consult with clients
- Shampoo and condition hair and scalp
- Fulfil salon reception duties
- Give clients a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
- Change hair colour using basic techniques
- Cut hair using basic techniques
- Perm and neutralise hair
- Style, dress and finish hair
Assessment is continuous throughout the course and you will be expected to work on assignments and your portfolio at home.
You will need to provide yourself with the following: College Hairdressing Kit, black tunic, black trousers & flat shoes (females), black tunic, black trousers (males), text book, personal files and stationery.
