NVQ Level 3 in Management

This programme has been designed for First Line Managers who have:

  • Tightly defined areas of management responsibility
  • Some opportunity for taking decisions and managing budgets
  • Responsibility for achieving specific results by using resources effectively
  • Responsibility for the allocation of work to team members, colleagues or contractors

Qualification is often taken by team leaders whose primary qualifications are not in management but who have moved into a first line management role.
Although no previous formal qualifications are required to embark on the NVQ, participants will need to demonstrate first line manager experience.

You are required to complete 7 units to gain the award (4 mandatory plus 3 from a choice of optional units).

  • Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work in your area of responsibility
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility

  • Communicate information and knowledge
  • Manage projects
  • Monitor and solve customer service problems
  • Work with others to improve customer service

Progression

On successful completion of this programme you may wish to progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Management or the Level 4 NVQ in Management.
