Foundation Degree in Performance and Events Production

Course Information:

The Foundation Degree in Performance and Events Production is a two-year programme specifically designed to produce articulate, multi-skilled Performing Arts practitioners thoroughly prepared to directly enter the Industry or move on to ‘top-up’ to a third year BA(Hons) award.

Students specialise in a chosen art form of either dance, drama or music in which they will have already displayed a level of expertise and accomplishment. Alongside further study and practice in their chosen art form, the programme also provides hands-on instruction and experience in areas such as arts administration and technical production, the historical and contemporary role of the Performing Arts in society, and vital work-related experience.

The programme provides enormous opportunities for individual and ensemble performance in a variety of regional venues, and is delivered from within the Stockton Riverside College School of Arts and Media which holds the prestigious CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) status.

Entry requirements:

Two National Awards in an appropriate subject. One National Certificate or one National Diploma in an appropriate subject. AVCE, A levels or other comparable level qualifications.

All applicants will be subject to an interview and audition process to determine their level of practical expertise and to confirm their suitability for the programme.

2 years full-time
September - June
