Students will critically analyse current medication policies and procedures and demonstrate detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines regarding medication administration.
They will identify key problematic areas in relation to medication management and identify appropriate tools/methods for their resolution and develop audit tools based upon their understanding of key problems with medication administration.
Working in an establishment that has a medication policy at a level that requires the student to review policy and review practice against policy.
Taught modules 3 hours per week over 15 weeks plus individual tutorial and supported IT workshop time.
Offered as stand alone modules that may be used to build into a Cert. or Dip. In Higher Education if other modules are undertaken.
