his is one of several UCAPD units currently being developed by the college in collaboration with the University of Teesside and in consultation with local care providers.
It is envisaged that it will be available from Feb 2008 and we are currently taking expressions of interest from employers and potential students.
The course will involve attendance at 10 x 3hr sessions in college. To be accepted onto the course potential learners must already have attained a full level 3 (or higher) qualification. Examples of suitable qualifications are NVQ in Health & Social Care, A levels or a BTEC National Diploma. Employment in a health and/or social care or childcare service that involves some degree of management of other workers is also essential.
