This programme is designed to enable care assistants or support workers to acquire the competence necessary for good practice through both theoretical and practical work and gain a nationally recognised qualification in care.
To achieve a full award at Level 2 candidates must complete four mandatory units and choose two optional units which are appropriate to the job they do.
The course can be delivered fully in the workplace or alternatively as a mixture of workshop attendance and assessment in the workplace.
To undertake any of our Health & Social Care programmes, learners must be working in the Health and/or Care sectors.
Level 2
15 weeks, 3 hours per week plus further 11 weeks assessment in the workplace
Students need to be working in a supervisory capacity in a care setting or have an appropriate job role.
