Transitional Modules - Early Years to Playwork or Playwork to Early Years

This is an ideal opportunity for students who have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/ Childcare and Education (e.g. NVQ 3, BTEC National Certificate and Diploma in Early Years, Diploma in Childcare and Education, AVCE) to also gain a Level 3 in Playwork. The transition is to be made by undertaking 2 modules.

This new opportunity also enables students who already hold a Level 3 in Playwork to gain the Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare.

To undertake any of our part-time childcare programmes, learners must already work in a suitable setting or be able to organise their own work placement(s)

Duration:

20 weeks, 3 hours per week.
Employment or placement in a playwork setting will also be required.

Entry:

Learners need to hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare and education. Admission via application form, interview, references and police check.

Level 3 in Playwork or Level 3 in Childcare

If a learner is over 19, and not in receipt of certain benefits (see Fees and Funding) then a fee may be payable. If a learner has not been resident in the EU for the 3 years prior to the commencement of their course, then a fee may be payable.
