An award of the University of Teesside delivered in partnership with Stockton Riverside College.
This Foundation Degree enables students to gain a broad knowledge base in a wide area of computer-based topics, including IT Applications and User Support. The course has an emphasis towards computer networking and has four networking based modules which can lead towards additional accreditation with CISCO, the National Standard in Networking. Work-based learning also plays a major part in the degree; this will involve students undertaking activities at employers’ premises for the equivalent of 1 day a week during years 2 and 3.
On successful completion of the Foundation Degree, students may progress to the final year of a relevant Honours Degree at University, or part-time at SRC (subject to approval). Students will also be eligible to take the CISCO Academy exams if they desire.
