European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

Aimed at those people employed and carrying out a wide range of complex tasks suited to the qualification or those in a position to expand or broaden their job role to a Level 3.

This course will allow individuals to develop administrative knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate competence in a range of areas including:

  • Managing your work and development
  • Maintaining effective working relationships
  • Use IT systems
  • Supervise an office facility
  • Research, analyse and report information

It is essential that students are in employment which is relevant to the requirements of the course. It is not possible to achieve this level via a work placement, as a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, with the possibility of some supervisory support, is required. Job roles suitable for this level can include Administration Officer, Team Leader, Office Supervisor, Secretary, PA.

Assessment is based on practical competence within the workplace, supported by knowledge and a portfolio of evidence.

This course will include assessment in the workplace. Tutorial support is available within the course.

36 weeks, 3.5 hours per week

OCR Administration Level 3 (or units)

Progress to:

Administration Level 4 or Management Level 4, OCR Higher Diploma in Administrative and Secretarial Procedures
